๐ŸŽ„ Teacher Outfits Of The Week ๐ŸŽ„

This past week marked the beginning of December, and you know what that means, Christmas outfits! I absolutely loved how these turned out!

Every year I TRY to go a little craft with my kids so they can bring something special home for their loved ones. ๐ŸŽ‰

Each year it changes depending on how much time we end up having. This year I was inspired by a creator I saw on instagram (@chelsmade) who was making these beautiful pictures with paint and craft jewels. I decided to use that idea, and have my students create ornaments, I have card stock that I am going to cut into different shapes (ornament, star, tree et.). I am going to use sharpies for them to color in the shapes, and then they will get to cover them in the gems.

โœจYour questionsโœจ- ANSWERED

โ€œYou Asked: What is your best advice for new teachers?โ€

This is a question that honestly gets a little trickier to answer every year. To start, try not to be too hard on yourself, but give yourself grace. Also itโ€™s important to remember that while you do have so many wonderful fabulous and amazing ideas, try one at a time. Donโ€™t try to overwhelm yourself by trying alllllllll new things. And on that same note, your classroom does not need to bee perfect from the beginning and it doesnโ€™t have to be the perfect classroom you saw on Instagram.

Speaking of Instagram, social media is great for sharing ideas, but do not get caught up comparing yourself to any other teacher. Find your people. Talk to everyone, say good morning in the hallways, give those around you the benefit of the doubt. Teaching is hard, working in a school is a hard. assume everyone is doing their best even if you are frustrated with something or someone. Donโ€™t blame the teachers the year before, assume they did their best. Being a teacher requires a lot of solidarity and it is a much better experience when you have those around you for support.

Trust in yourself as a teacher and remember that each day is a new chance, so let your mistakes go and try your best the next day!
