πŸŽ„Catching up:πŸŽ„

WE MADE IT! Happy last week before winter break! I am going to be honest, I love love love this time of year with my students, but I am definitely ready to be on winter break. I have had a lot going on these past few weeks, and sometimes that makes it hard to be a shiny unicorn fairy at work. This week we have so many fun things planned, including wrapping up our holiday book donations! Most of the books are ready to send home with the kids, and are under our class tree✨

We are also working on finishing our holiday crafts. The goal for weeks like this for me as a teacher, is to create those lasting memories for my students to brighten their holiday!Happy Thanksgiving week! My school is closed all week, and I am so grateful to be home visiting my family. I also wanted to take a moment to share how thankful I am for all of you! Having a community like this to discuss all things outfits and teaching makes my heart so happy.

I am so happy to have you all here, and am so excited to continue to grow our MagicalLearningAdventure! Stay tuned for a special Newsletter giveaway AND instagram giveaway coming in December!

πŸŽ„ Teacher Outfits Of The Week πŸŽ„

This week is all about feeling calm, confident, and cozy because when I look and feel my best, I can bring my best to everything I do, even during the holiday season.

Surviving the last week before winter breakπŸŽ‰

The week before winter break is always doozy. Energy is high, students are excited about the holidays or the break and the expectations for this week definitely need an adjustment. As teachers, especially if you teach elementary, we know that this time of year needs to remain structured, while also leaving space for fun. Focusing on maintaining structure, even though this week contains so much fun, is essential for students to remain as calm as possible. The less structure, the more chaos.

Some of my favorite fun holiday activities include holiday readers, theater, holiday math mystery, focusing on random acts of kindness, reading holiday books, and holidays around the world. Every year these activities look a little different depending on the time we have. But regardless, they always are a hit!

✨Your questions✨- ANSWERED

β€œDisney Recs!”

Okay to begin I would like to explain that my mom and I do not do disney in the way that a lot of others do. We have passes, and have a very calm and passive way of approaching the park. We don’t run around all day from park to park trying to knock everything out. We like spend the day riding a few rides, having a few drinks, and then going to a yummy dinner in Disney Springs. That being said, these are the must-do things that we always do at each park, and then a few things we like but don’t stress about doing every time.

Hollywood Studios (my favorite park)

Favorite Rides: Rock N Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror

ALWAYS get a spicy marg from Tune in lounge, but ONLY if the woman bartender is there. She does the best. If she isn't there we get copa wines from the backlot. Speaking of Backlot, we always split lunch here, and sit at the table in the sun, closest to the entrance so we can people watch.

Rides we like: mickey's runaway railroad and toy story mania

Animal Kingdom

Favorite rides: Avatar, Dinosaur, Safari, Expedition Everest

In this park we love to walk through the gorilla falls to look at the animals. My favorites are the hippos and my moms are the gorillas. Our favorite snack here is corn with all the spices outside of the safari. It is SO good. For drinks we love love LOVE the nomad lounge. IT is the perfect escape away from the chaos of the park, and we always sit at the bar. I love their hightower rocks and my mom gets a glass of wine. Bonus if you hit the nomad lounge right before you go on the avatar ride.

Epcot

Favorite ride; Guardians of the Galaxy (a MUST) for this ride you can join the virtual queue right at 7am or you can book a fastpass (or both).

Now epcot has one of our FAV drinks. This is found at the mexico pavilion and its the El Diablo margarita. This drink is SO good and the salt they put on the rim is truly magical. This pavilion is also home to our favorite snack which is the tostadas.

Magic Kingdom

This might be controversial but we NEVER go to this park.

Disney springs: we ALWAYS go to terrilina Italian restaurant. We love the vibe here, and the food. The key to eating anywhere is disney with only two people is that you can just sit at the bar. That is what we do everywhere. We also love the Edison if we are in the mood for a cheeseburger.

Stay: We always stay in disney springs area, so we can walk there to shop and for dinner. We have stayed in a handful different hotels and here is our take away: wyndham is convenient but the overall service is not great, the B we like but the location is not great, Holiday inn has an OK location and gives you free drinks when you arrive. Our current favorite is the Hilton because it is a short walk to disney springs, and has an elevated feel. It has a starbucks, great restaurants, and room service!
